Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson will be the guest speaker at the Brundidge Rotary Club Wednesday and the public is invited to attend.
Olson will be the guest of Rotarian and Brundidge Police Chief Moses Davenport.
“I feel sure that a lot of people would be interested in hearing Sheriff Olson,” Davenport said. “He will talk about the recent hostage situation in Dale County that attracted national interest and attention. We hope that nothing like that ever happens again but we also know that situations occur that we never expect. It’s good to know that there are those who are trained to handle those situations. It will be interesting to hear about how law enforcement agencies prepare for and then work together to alleviate those situations.”
The Brundidge Rotary Club meets at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Brundidge and the public is invited to join the Rotarians for Olson’s program on Wednesday.
“Sheriff Olson will speak around 12:45 p.m. and we encourage people to come early and have lunch at the Wagon Wheel before the program begins,” Davenport said. “It will be an interesting and informative program.”
