We’re so close to meeting the final goal

The thermometer is inching up, and that’s a good thing.
Earlier this week, representatives of the Greek system at Troy University donated $10,000 to the Miracle League Playground effort, bringing the total raised in the community to more than $135,000.
That means only $65,000 left to raise by June 1 in order to bring the special needs playground to Troy.
The playground will be one of 25 within the Miracle League and will feature a rubberized safety surface that will allow children with walkers, wheelchairs and other special needs to go to transfer stations on the playground. Doublewide ramps will help wheelchairs to travel through the playground easily. There will also be activity panels and other structural features designed to promote creativity for all children – including those with autism and other needs.
It will be a complement to the Miracle League baseball field, already in place at the Troy Sportsplex and a crowning testament to the efforts of our community to provide recreational activities for children of all physical abilities.

We’re so close … and we believe our community can make this happen.
