Charles Henderson powered its way past Alabama Christian on Monday afternoon to notch the twenty-third win of the season.
The Trojans (23-2) jumped ahead early and never looked back, routing the Eagles 10-2 at Frazier Field.
Charles Henderson first basemen Joey Denison continued his hot hitting streak by going 1-2, with a big three-run homer in the first inning.
Dennison had a hand in half of the Trojans’ 10 runs, as he had had three RBIs and scored two runs.
Not to be outdone by Denison, Tripp Blackmon also went deep for the Trojans.
With Charles Henderson up 8-2 late in the game, Blackmon ripped a shot to right field that clanked off the foul pole to give the Trojans some insurance runs. Blackmon also finished the day 2-2 at the plate.
As a team, the Trojans slugged .615 and netted a batting average of over .340 to turn in one of the more solid hitting days in the season.
On the mound, Xavius Burden picked up the win, throwing three innings and striking out three Eagle batters. Burden also picked up an RBI at the plate.
The Trojans return to the field on Thursday to open region play against the Headland Rams at Frazier Field.
First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
