A Troy woman was taken to the Pike County Jail after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend with a steak knife late Thursday.
Tracy Ann Patterson, 33, faces charges of domestic violence second degree in connection with the incident, said Troy Police Spokesman Sgt. Benny Scarbrough.
She was taken into custody by Troy Police after she is said to have stabbed Cass Winfred Smith, 22, in his chest at their residence on Senn Court.
The two resided together, according to the addresses listed on police reports, and the arrest warrant calls Patterson the victim’s girlfriend.
Smith was taken to Troy Regional Medical Center and later transported to Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery.
Scarbrough was unsure of his condition Friday, but when he left Troy officers said he was in “stable” condition.
Hospital officials at Baptist South would not release any information on his condition.
Patterson’s bond has been set at $25,000.
