The largest class ever to graduate from Troy University filled the Trojan Arena on Friday morning, made up of students receiving associate degrees, bachelor degrees and doctorates. Gov. Robert Bentley was the keynote speaker for the spring 2013 commencement service for the graduates coming from 27 states and 14 countries. More than 900 students graduated this term and about 610 participated in the Friday ceremony. Bentley also received an honorary doctorate from the university.
