Police have arrested the woman who is believed to have purposefully driven into an occupied vehicle Thursday afternoon.
Briauna Shanice Brassell, 18, of Troy, has been charged with second-degree assault Thursday night and was taken to the Pike County Jail with a $5,000 bond, according to police.
When Troy Police officers arrived at the 300 Bock of Orion Street where the crash occurred, they found a crowd in the roadway. TPD reports witnesses told an officer on scene that Brassell struck an occupied vehicle at a home and then crashed into a utility pole as she tried to flee the scene.
Brassell was treated for minor injuries at Troy Regional Medical Center and then taken to the Troy Police Department for processing.
According to TPD, other charges may be pending against Brassell. The case is still under investigation.
