Less than 24 hours after falling 11-10 to Enterprise, the Americans plated 14 runs in the final two innings to pull away and pick up the win.

Americans head coach Chris Carroll said that though he is proud of the win, the team did not have a complete game.

“We always want to win, but we didn’t have a complete ball game,” Carroll said. “We bobbled a lot of balls and gave up four runs there. We are a lot better defensively than we played tonight.”

While the Americans continued on, the Nationals season came to an end.

Nationals head coach Daniel Earles said that he is proud of his players, despite the premature end to the season.

“Their dedication to this team was pivotal for our success,” said Earles. “Some have moved positions from first base to second, or third, or maybe even pitcher. I couldn’t be more proud of them.

The Americans continue on in he tournament Wednesday at 6 p.m.
