The Troy Dixie Minor All-Stars routed the Enterprise Nationals 14-1 Wednesday behind both the bat and arm of Drew Nelson.

Nelson was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a pair of singles. On the hill, Nelson dominated Enterprise through four innings of work. He handcuffed Enterprise to just two hits, gave up no earned runs and struck out three Enterprise batters.

Troy plated nine runs over the first three innings to pull away from their opponent early.

Avery Ernsberger, Press Jefcoat and Bailey Sparrow each picked up an RBI in the first with singles. Levi Sikes doubled in the first, also picking up an RBI.

Troy picked up a couple of insurance runs in the third inning. Jackson Senn singled in Davis Allen. Senn later came across on an RBI single by Ryan Ledford.

Five runs by Troy in the top of the fourth put the game away. Walker Stallworth and Nelson each had singles in the inning to help plate the runs.

With the win, Troy advances to the State Tournament in Oxford, Ala. beginning July 19.
