Minor League Update: Pierce, Collins, Santos

I won’t be able to keep a regular eye on these guys as football season draws near but here is an update on Troy’s most recent draftees.
LOGAN PIERCE:
Pierce is batting .338 for Williamsport (Short Season Class A, Phillies) which is good enough to rank him sixth in the New-York Penn League. Pierce recently had his seven-game hit streak and 11-game reached base streak snapped but is continues to produce for the Crosscutters. It seems as though the team is protecting him against left-handed pitching as he only has 11 at bats versus southpaws as opposed to 60 against righties.
DANNY COLLINS:
Collins is batting .308 for Jamestown (Short Season Class A, Pirates) and is tied for the New-York Penn League lead for home runs with five. He is fifth in the league in RBIs with 15.
TRAE SANTOS:
Santos has picked things up of late batting .324 (12-for-37) in his last 10 games. The former Trojans slugger is hitting .264 through 24 games for Eugene (Short Season Class A, Padres). He has hit three home runs with 11 RBIs.
