The Brundidge Pre-Minor Tournament team’s trip to Troy did not turn out positively for the team Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs lost 14-2 in the opening round of the sub-district tournament.
“At first we did not do so well, but we started to pick it up near the end,” Brundidge head coach Terra Foster said. “We really came around defensively in the later innings and we are looking forward to our next game.”
Brundidge could not find its stroke and allowed seven runs in the first inning to Eufaula. Tommorious Pryor scored in the second inning and Rayshawn Reynolds scored in the fifth inning for the Bulldogs’ only two runs.
“I think this was more of a challenge than we thought it would be, but we will bounce back tomorrow,” Foster said.
Henry Reeves scored three runs for Eufaula, Drew Taylor and Drew scored two runs and Michael Lucas, Seller Smith, Hugh Dollar, Ed Eubanks and Kyle Rayor scored one run apiece.
