Mr. R.D. Boykin, the husband of the late Louise Boykin, a longtime resident of Troy, did Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice of Decatur, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 300 McMillian Avenue in Troy, with Rev. Eddie Williams officiating. Rev. Donald Bobbitt, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, son-in-law, will deliver the Eulogy.

Viewing will take place at Grubbs Funeral Home beginning on Friday, September 13 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and at Bethel Baptist Church from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Mr. R.D. Boykin is survived by his devoted children, Dorris Moore (Atlanta, Georgia), Shirley Boykin (Atlanta, Georgia), Betty Boykin (Fayetteville, Georgia), Theory Boykin (Janet) (Orlando, Florida), Cathy Boykin (Newnan, Georgia), Janice Bobbitt (Donald) (Jasper, Alabama) and one sister, Lou Ethel Flowers (Sylvester) of Ozark, Alabama.

Internment will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery, Knox Street, Troy, Alabama
