Meet artist Amanda Trawick

The meet the artist reception for Amanda Trawick’s Art Show will be from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. tonight at Studio 116 in downtown Brundidge.
Sara Dismukes, studio co-director, said Trawick is an extremely talented artist and a prolific painter.
“Amanda’s paintings are dream like, surreal,” Dismukes said. “Her work is acrylic and oil on canvas. Everyone will be impressed with Amanda’s talent. We’re happy to showcase the paintings of this local artist all month. Everyone is invited to come by during November and see her whole show.”
Trawick is the 1997 winner of the Jean Lake Scholarship for excellence portfolio and the 1997 recipient of the Brundidge Arts Council scholarship.
She was the 2000 winner in a university-wide poster design competition headed by the Department of Speech and Theater at Troy University.
Trawick also was the 2001 winner of Stonehenge Merit Award in the 34th annual Montgomery Art Guild at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the 2003 winner of Honorable Mention Award in the 35th annual Montgomery Art Guild competition.
Her exhibitions include the 2000 Troy University Art Department, the 2005
2005 Red Light Café and the 2006 Canton Mill Lofts Canton, Georgia.
