Alexander the Elf loves to write his pen pals

The Elf on the Shelf at the Brian and Jenny Meadows’ home is a rather smart little fellow. He reads and he writes and enjoys his pen pal relationship with the Meadows boys, Jacob and John.
Jenny Meadows said that the Meadows’ residential elf wrote the boys and told them that he didn’t have a name and would very much like to have one.
“So, my boys wrote back and told him that his name was Alexander,” Meadows said. “He wrote them back and said that he loves his regal-sounding name.”
Alexander likes to spend the night in the Meadows’ freezer because he misses the icy, cold weather at the North Pole where he works for Santa Claus making toys for good little boys and girls all over the world.
“Alexander wrote the boys that he likes sleeping in the freezer because he is able to rest better where it’s cold,” Meadows said.
Alexander is a smart elf and he’s also a good elf.
“Thankfully, Alexander minds his manners,” Meadows said. “Otherwise, I might send him back to Santa’s workshop if he made messes like other elves I have seen.”
Meadows said Alexander truly has added another magical element to their home.
“This is the first year we have had an elf at our home,” she said. “Alexander seems to enjoy using our newborn twin girls’ baby items, especially the swing. We come home sometimes and Alexander is swinging at high speeds.”
Swinging like that, Alexander could fall out and hurt himself. That’s not a smart thing for an elf to do. But even elves need to have a little adventure.
But, most of the time, Alexander just enjoys doing things for the Meadows family, things like baking cookies and writing letters to his pen pals. And, sometimes, he has to make a quick flight to the North Pole to help Santa in his workshop. The flight and the work are exhausting so Alexander has to make a spa visit to the lavatory in the Meadows’ guest bathroom.
When the boys find him at the spa, they know he’s been hard at work making toys for them and their baby sisters and other good little boys and girls.
