Mr. W.F. (Uncle Dub) Wood age 79 of Montgomery died April 21, 2014 at Baptist East Medical Center in Montgomery. Mr. Wood was born and grew up in Pike County he then moved to Montgomery in 1960. He attended Eastdale Baptist Church, where he enjoyed a large church family.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Dr. Bruce Moulton Officiating. Burial will follow with at Green Hills Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill Ed and Ola Mae Stephens Wood, five sisters Maggie Wood Allen (Milton), Grace Wood Wilkerson (Carl Henry), Eunice Wood Ritch Tuker (Emanuel), June Wood Spivey Banning (Curtis), and Carolyn Wood Mauldin (Jim), three brothers James Perry Wood (Allene), Robert E. Wood Sr. (Ellie Ruth), George “Tanks” Wood (Helen).

He is survived by 18 Nieces and nephews, several great and great great nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Billy Wood, Billy Young, Terry Fitzgerald, John Pittman, Ken Funderburk, and Byrd Holloway.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Finkelstein and Albert West.
