Thirteen community leaders, including a high school principal, a city council member and an IT company executive, are wanted for armed kindness and are considered highly contagious.
When apprehended, the suspects will serve four hours behind bars and bail will be set at $300 each.
Separate charges of unbridled kindnesses and community service will be brought before Jamey Dubose, Charles Henderson High School football coach; Brooke Watkins, CGI business analyst; Dejerilyn Henderson, Troy City Council member; Dr. Boyd English, CHHS principal; Dr. James Kimbrough, retired Troy University professor; Jeff Kervin, Troy Bank & Trust president and CEO; Dr. Lakerri Mack, president board of directors Boys and Girls Club of Pike County; Marcus Paramore, Troy City Council member; Jason Reeves, Troy mayor;  Shelia Jackson, Troy Tourism director; Sarah Cantey, WAKA-Troy news anchor;  George Tarbox, CGI-Troy director; and Tony Weem, CGI consultant.
“Warrants have been issued for the arrest of some of Troy’s ‘Most Wanted,’” said Derrick Brewster, Boys and Girls Club of Pike County board vice president.
“The 13 suspects will have an opportunity to turn themselves in at the jail on the square in downtown Troy before 2 p.m. Friday. If they do not turn themselves in, they will be apprehended by the Troy Police and brought to jail.”
Brewster said each of the accused – and surely-to-be-convicted – community leaders will have to raise their bail of $300 before they will be released.
Whether the accused/convicted raise their bail by cell phone pleas or by clanging the jail bars with tin cups, it doesn’t matter, just as long as they collect $300 to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Pike County.
Brewster said to add to the fun of the incarceration, anti-bail money may be donated.
“That amount will be deducted from the amount the inmate has collected and that amount will have to be collected again,” Brewster said.
‘“Jail for Bail is going to be a lot of fun and raised money for our Boys and Girls Club.
“We encourage everyone to come downtown Friday and help an inmate earn his or her bail or help keep an inmate incarcerated.”
