Fresh fruits and vegetables abound at the Pike County Farmer’s Market, which is open each Saturday morning and Tuesday and Thursday afternoon in the parking lot behind First United Methodist Church in Downtown Troy. On Thursday, several local farmers were at the market with early season fruits and vegetables. Above, plentiful produce fills the stand of Tammy and Courtney Buzzan of Greens of Pronto. At left, colorful seasonal vegetables tempt customers at Collins Farms stand and locally grown potatoes line the stand of the Pippins stand. The farmer’s market will open at 7 a.m. today.
