On June 14 Sheila Brockton Collins and her daughter, Kimberly Collins, honored Quentin M. Collins, with a celebration for his retirement from three branches of the military: the Army, Navy, and the Air Force.

Collins retired on June 8, 2014, completing 27 years of service.

He first joined the Army in 1986 as part of the 900th Maintenance Company in Brundidge with a MOS of 43M also known as the Canvas Repair Specialist.

Then in 1988, he joined the U.S. Navy where he was assigned to Navy Station San Miguel, Philippines, until 1990 then to USS Brewton (FF-1086) in Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, until 1992 and USS Reuben James (FFG-57) Pearl Harbor, until 1995. Following this, he was reassigned to Naval Communication Telecommunications Station Trident Submarine base in Bangor, Washington, from 1995-1996. From Bangor, he transferred to the 131st Armor in Abbeville, where he served as a Petroleum Supply Specialist (77F MOS) then was transferred to the 131st Armor Det. 1 in Hartford and Ashford.

In 2001, he joined the U.S. Air Force at Dannelly Field in Montgomery as part of the 187th Fighter Wing. Mr. Collins served in both Desert Shield Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
