Troy public works department is continuing a road work project on Enzor Road. The work crew is currently resurfacing and widening the road and doing shoulder work.
“It was part of a project to fix the road, which because of usage was in need of repair,” said Vaughn Daniels, Troy public works director. “The wear and tear decreased the lifespan of the surface and the project allowed the city and county to resurface that particular part of the road.”
The work on Enzor Road is part of an ATRIP project, which is federally funded through the State Department.
Daniels said no road closing is expected for the project, as one lane is planned to remain open and that the work will be completed in approximately three weeks.
Troy public works also just completed the resurfacing of a portion of Henderson Highway. Preliminary work on widening the intersections of Madison and Montgomery and Three Notch Street has already begun. The road is being widened to incorporate a center turn lane.
