Mrs. Doris Tew, age 85 of Brundidge, Alabama, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 in Jackson Hospital. Visitation for Mrs. Tew will be Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Springfield Baptist Church in Brundidge. Funeral services will follow immediately following the visitation in Springfield Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Officiating the service will be Reverends Ken Baggett and Donald Ash.

Mrs. Tew is survived by two sons; LeRoy Tew of Gallion, Alabama, Richard and Sharon Tew of Brundidge, Alabama; her grandchildren, Barbi Lee(Brad), Kimberly Tew, Clay Tew, Jessica Tew Hipps(Darren), Jacqueline Tew Merse(Ryan); her great grandchildren, Elisabeth Mobley, Eden Mobley, Lawson Hipps, Sam Merse, Luke Merse, Cheyenne LoveJoy, and Katie Tew; her sisters, Bennie Lou Ward(Bud) and Shirley Arnold(Effort); her brother, Wayne Faulk (Martha); and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Tew was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Tew, a daughter Joyce Tew Poole, sisters Mavis Sanders, Lucille Tew, brothers Lamar Faulk and Louie Howard Faulk.

Pallbearers will be Clay Tew, Brad Lee, Ronnie Oakes, Darren Hipps, Ryan Merse and Lawson Hipps.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill and Wayne Faulk and Effort Arnold.

Services are under the direction of Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home of Brundidge.
