Loureen Bowden Volet, 89, of Troy passed away in her home on Sunday, September 7, 2014. She was born October 25, 1924 in Brundidge, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ret. Colonel Leonard Volet and her son, John David Volet. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Volet Linzey of Troy, son, Phil (Julia) Volet of Dubai, and a daughter in law, Denise Volet of Luverne, Grandchildren, Michelle (Todd) Copeland, Troy, Jacob Linzey, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Chase Volet of Houma, LA., Wolff (Jill) Volet, Virginia Beach, VA. Jody Volet of Missouri City, TX., Nicole Volet, Dubai, Great Grandchildren, Ryan Copeland, Addison Copeland, both of Troy, Lyndsay Volet and Landon Volet both of Virginia Beach, 2 sisters, Kathryn Walker and Virginia Bryan both of Brundidge, Brother, Frank (Toni) Bowden, Columbus, Ga., many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Mack Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. Serving as pallbearers will be Ken Walker, Chris Walker, Robert Baxter, Richard Baxter, Bobby Drinckard and Jeff Knotts.
