Vivace, a modern and thrilling combination of four unique and exceptional pop and classical singers, will be on stage at the Claudia Crosby Theater on Troy University’s campus tonight. Showtime is 7 p.m., and tickets will be available at the door.

General admission tickets are $20 and student tickets with an ID are $5.

John Jinright, presenter chair for the sponsoring Troy Arts Council, said Vivace is based primarily out of Vancouver.

“Melody Courage, Tiffany Desrosiers, Marc Devigne and DJ Calhoun first merged their talents in 2010 performing at the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games,” Jinright said. “From there, they have gone on to tour extensively throughout the United States and Canada.”

Jinright said Vivace has captivated audiences everywhere they go.

The quartet is the latest addition to the classical crossover/popera genre.

“The combination of powerful male voices and the emotionally drive female vocals come together to create a sound that is exclusively their own,” he said. “Vivace puts a fresh new take on the classical and modern music of today.”

The Vivace program includes “The Prayer,” “I Believe,” “You Raise Me Up,” “Hallelujah,” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

“It’s a beautiful program sung by beautiful voices,” Jinright said.

“It’s one that people of all ages will enjoy and will talk about for a long time to come. We invite everyone to join us for an unforgettable night of music.”

Vivace will perform at Goshen High School this afternoon. TAC President Ruth Walker said the school performance is part of the TAC’s commitment to bringing cultural arts events to schools throughout the county.
