The City of Troy will begin work next week near the Square downtown on a water tank, resulting in road closures.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 22, workers will begin preparing the tank for a fresh coat of paint, which Assistant General Manager Mike Davis said was much needed. “The tank is in bad need of a new paint job,” Davis said. “We wanted to revitalize the tank to help with the aesthetics of downtown and surrounding businesses.”
Davis anticipated that the project would be completed by the first of December.
A portion of West Walnut street between South Three Notch and Oak Streets will be closed for the duration of the painting project.
Davis said businesses affected by the closure have been notified.
