The Charles Henderon Middle School Trojans volleyball saw a successful season this year finishing with an overall record of 12-3.
Head coach for the Trojans Tori Stone said the Trojans finished their season with a 2-0 win over Luverne on Monday.
“I am very proud of the girls’ hard work this year,” Stone said. “They have been practicing and working out since the beginning of summer. They came in each day ready to learn the fundamentals. It was a great experience seeing them improve and put into practice what we worked on all summer when the season started. Their dedication paid off.”
This was Stone’s third year as head coach and she said several of the players had done well this season.
“They all worked hard,” Stone said. “Samira Moore, Nicole Barron, and Sidney Watson were my main hitters. Hannah Calhoun did an outstanding job setting for us. Ava Smolcic and Ragan Hudson were my main back row passers, who did a great job getting the ball to the net for us to set it up. My other, younger players did a great job working hard. I feel like everyone improved their fundamentals throughout the season, which is the main focus of a junior high team.”
