Coaching news website FootballScoop.com is reporting that Troy will hire Kentucky assistant Neal Brown as the Trojans’ next head coach.

SI.com is also reporting that Brown’s contract would a five-year, $3.5 million deal.

Troy University has yet to confirm these reports, but has scheduled a press conference Monday to announce the new hire.

“We are close to a decision,” Troy Athletic Director John Hartwell said. “Still working out some details. There will be a 9:30 press conference Monday morning.”

Brown served as an assistant at Troy from 2006-2009, including a stint as offensive coordinator in 2008 and 2009.
