Mrs. Margaret Dorriety Weed, 93, of Ariton, died Friday, November 28, 2014, at the home of her daughter in Lilburn, Georgia.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Saturday, December 6, 2014, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Greg Brown and Reverend Anita Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Universalist Cemetery, Ariton, with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday, December 5, 2014, from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.

Mrs. Weed was born January 28, 1921 in Pike County but lived most of her life in Ariton. She lived with her daughter in Atlanta since her husband’s death in 2003. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and beautiful seamstress. She loved music and played the guitar and piano. She was a member of the Church of Christ most of her life. Mrs. Weed was preceded in death by her parents, Leavie and Jessie Shiver Dorriety; her husband, Ray Wynn Weed; and her son Jimmie Ray Weed.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Bill Agerton, Lilburn, GA; one sister, Mavis Seay, Brundidge; grandchildren, Lori and Jeff English, Sandy Springs, GA, Vicki and Morris Fendley, Harrisonburg, VA, Jill and Ryan Youngblood, Suwanee, GA, Joey and Tracy Weed, Farmington, Arkansas, Andy and Phyllis Weed, Ozark, Mark and Dana Weed, Newton, Kevin and Pam Weed, Ozark; thirteen great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
