Four Pike Liberal Arts players received Alabama Sports Writers Association AISA All-State honors for their performances during the 2014 football season, the school announced Monday.
Junior wide receiver Marquese Christian and senior defensive back Jeremy James were named to the AISA All-State Second Team.
Junior running back Jamichael Jones and sophomore linebacker Tyler Hussey were named AISA All-State Honorable Mention.
Players were voted in by members of the ASWA.
The ASWA changed format the for its All-State team this year, adding a second team and limiting honorable mentions to no more than two at each position.
The selections come on the heels of an impressive turnaround season for the Patriots.
This year, they finished with an 8-4 overall record and made it to the first round of the state playoffs.
