The Troy University baseball team will host a Hits for Heroes game on Saturday, Feb. 28, against Southern Mississippi, Trojan head coach Bobby Pierce officially announced Tuesday.
Hits for Heroes is an organization created to raise awareness and money for soldiers in need of support, encouragement and supplies.
This year, Hits for Heroes partnered with the USO to send care packages to veterans.
The Trojans and Golden Eagles will wear special camouflage uniforms in the game, and fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to buy limited edition T-shirts for $10.
The game will also feature speeches, presentations and acknowledgements throughout the game.
Admission will be free with donations to Hits for Heroes also being accepted.
