John Ralph Nolan

Mr. John Ralph Nolan, age 70 of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mr. Nolan was born on June 20, 1944 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He is preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Ralph Nolan. Mr. Nolan was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in Vietnam, retired from the City of Griffin Police Department, and former Deputy with Spalding County Sheriff’s Department, and was employed with Wiley Sanders Trucking. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederate and John Gordon Camp.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Nolan; daughter Jewel Thatcher and husband, Richard; mother, Ann Nolan.

Visitation for Mr. John R. Nolan will be on Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and on Sunday, February 15 from 1:30pm until 2:30pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:30pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Ron Poole will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery with military honors.
