Dale County JV tops CHHS

The Charles Henderson JV baseball team couldn’t come back from an early 3-0 deficit, falling to Dale County 4-1 Tuesday in Midland City.
Charles Henderson’s Charlie Tisdale recorded the team’s only RBI, going 2-of-2 from the plate in the losing effort.
Fort Dale jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first inning, taking a 1-0 lead.
After the Trojans couldn’t get any offense going in the second inning, Fort Dale added two more runs to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the bottom of the inning.
Charles Henderson attempted a late-game rally, scoring a run in the top of the fourth off of a Tisdale hit, but that was all the offense the Trojans could manage in the game.
In the bottom of the fourth, Fort Dale clinched the win, scoring another run to take the 4-1 lead.
In the loss, Charles Henderson still outhit Fort Dale 8-5, but the Trojans stranded seven baserunners once they were aboard.
Fort Dale stranded just four runners on base.
Tisdale took the loss on the mound for Charles Henderson, allowing one earned run on five hits in four innings pitched.
