A Troy man could face felony charges after being arrested Tuesday for possession of a controlled substance.
Carlos Rouse, 29, of Troy, was arrested Tuesday for possession of controlled substance, later identified as crack cocaine, according to information released by Troy Police Public Information Officer Lt. Bryan Weed.
“Officers were investigating another call and stopped the vehicle,” Weed said.
“Rouse was the passenger of the vehicle, and after getting permission Rouse was patted down.”
Weed said officers located a small bag of crack cocaine in Rouse’s possession after Rouse had agreed to a pat down, but said the amount had yet to be determined.
Rouse field-tested positive for cocaine and was taken into custody and transferred to the Pike County Jail at approximately noon, where he was being held on $7,500 bond for possession of a controlled substance, according to Weed.
According to the Pike County Jail logs Rouse made bond at approximately 3:50 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
