Freddie Turner, a member of Tennille United Methodist Church, center, was presented with a $750 check from the Troy Regional Medical Center Feed The Hungry program sponsored with contributions from the TRMC employees. Amy Minor, chief nursing officer, and Tim Cain, nurse manager for Med/Surg and ICU, presented the check. Tennille United Methodist Church partners with the Montgomery Area Food Bank to distribute food in the Tennille area. On June 9th, 225 families were able to participate in the food distribution day. Turner said the Tennille distribution site serves four Pike, Dale, Coffee and Barbour counties. This is the fourth check presented to an organization from TRMC to assist in meeting the food needs of local families. TRMC is proud to help sponsor this service. The structure in the picture was built to assist in distribution of the food at the Tennille United Methodist Church.
