“We had this residence under surveillance for a while now,” Thomas said. “Probably for a couple of weeks.”

Linzey, 25, was also arrested during the course of the investigation.

“He had an outstanding warrant from where he failed to show up for court,” Thomas said. “Mitchell and Linzey were both arrested and transported to the Pike County Jail.”

Thomas said the sheriff’s department had been aware that drugs were being sold out of the residence, which caused the department to put the home under surveillance.

“This is part of investigations that continue to go on,” Thomas said. “We were able to execute this search warrant and hopefully shut this residence down.”

Thomas said Mitchell had nine previous felonies with the Pike County Sheriff Department.
