Central Alabama CrimeStoppers has requested the public’s assistance in locating Mario Tarrell Motley who is wanted by the Brundidge Police Department for armed robbery and burglary 1st degree in connection with a June home invasion.

Motley is described as a 33-year-old black male, 6-feet, 1 inches tall and weighing about 184 pounds. His last known address is 3202 Mace St., Montgomery.

Detective Charles Beasley said a home invasion occurred at Shady Lane Trailer Park, 850 County Road 3320 south of Brundidge between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. on June 29.

“The mobile home was occupied by William Houston, Taylor Keuscher and a small child when the subject entered the mobile home without permission,” Beasley said. “He was armed with a pistol. The occupants of the mobile home knew the subject but were not friends with him.”

Beasley said Houston and Keuscher identified Motley as the one who entered the mobile home and said he left their residence with Houston’s Visa debit card, his driver’s license, and six $10 bills, among other items.

Beasley said Motley’s girlfriend, Rachel L. Batie, lived in the nearby Four Oaks Apartments. When Beasley and Chief Moses Davenport went to the apartment to question her, she became disorderly.

“The landlord let us in the apartment but Motley was not there,” Beasley said. “However, his car was parked at the apartment.”

Beasley said Batie moved out of the apartment the next day and the BPD has not been able to locate her.

“We believe when we find her, we’ll find Motley,” Beasley said. “We’re staying on this case and we’ve asked Central Alabama Crime Stoppers to assist us in finding Motley.”

Beasley said Batie was charged with disorderly conduct and is to appear in municipal court in Brundidge on Wednesday.
