Henry W. “Hank” Jones

Henry W. “Hank” Jones, age 67, a longtime resident of Troy, Alabama, died peacefully at home on November 20, 2015 surrounded by people who loved him. Hank was preceded in death by his parents George and Josephine Jones, and his sister Freda (Wayne) Moore. He is survived by his wife of forty years Eulane Baker Jones; three children Rhon (Deanne) Jones, Beth (Corey) Barnes, Jennifer (Jason) Davis; and nine grandchildren; Will, Mary Baker, Jack and Luke Jones, Taylor, Avery and Corey Barnes, and Bill and Madison Davis, his brother, Norman Matkin and sister, Shirley Ritchey (Jim) and 3 nieces and a nephew. Hank was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and has been actively involved at Park Memorial United Methodist Church for many years. He knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He spent thirty-three years as a teacher, principal and Superintendent for the Troy City Schools. Hank was very involved and participated in numerous activities at church and in the Troy community. Funeral services will be Monday, November 23, 2015 at Park Memorial United Methodist Church at 2:30pm with Reverend Danny Arnold and Reverend Steve Rascoe officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 pm-2:15 pm. Burial will follow in the Old Lebanon Baptist Church cemetery with Danny Hanson, David Helms, Eric Mackey, Geoffrey Spann, Ryan Thomas, Jason Thomas and Chreasell Threadgill serving as pallbearers.
