- SUBMITTED PHOTOs Banks Middle School’s sixth-graders recently participated in the “Touch A Tractor” and Everybody Works program, sponsored by the Pike County Chamber of Commerce. The speaker was Billy Hixon, who told the students about the different jobs of a farmer and the importance of farming in the community. As part of the program, students were able to touch and see a tractor and ask Hixon about farming as a career field.
