- Photo/mike hensley The Troy Trojans officially kicked off preparations for the 2016 football season on Tuesday afternoon when they began spring practice on the Troy University practice fields. In all the Trojans will partake in 12 practices and three scrimmages during the spring. The first scrimmage will be held on Saturday April 9 at 11:30 a.m. followed by a scrimmage on Friday April 15 at 7 p.m. and they will close with the annual T-Day Spring game on Saturday April 23 at 12:30 p.m. All practices will be open to the public.
