Troy Police have arrested a man wanted on attempted murder charges in connection with an April 18 shooting on Aster Circle.
Jamarion Deandre Edwards, 25, of Troy, was arrested at 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, when officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Dunbar Drive.
“We received a call of a fight in progress and when offices pulled up they saw a black male screaming and cursing,” said Troy Police Chief Randall Barr. “When they made contact, they discovered he had two felony warrants outstanding: possession of marijuana first degree and attempted murder.”
Edwards also was arrested on four capias warrants for misdemeanor charges.
The attempted murder warrant was issued April 21, 2016, and stemmed from an incident that took place April 18 in the 400 block of Aster Circle.
Barr said officers responded then to reports of shots being fired and the investigation revealed that Edwards had fired into an occupied vehicle.
He was being held in the Pike County Jail on a $50,000 bond for the attempted murder charge and a $7,500 bond for the possession of marijuana first degree charge.
