Brenda Faulk croppedBrenda Gail Berry Faulk, 74, a resident of Dothan passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Flowers Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Gross officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family received friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Faulk was born September 28, 1941 in Troy, Alabama and lived there the early part of her life. She graduated from Troy High School and later from the Wallace Community College Cosmetology program. She was employed as a beautician in Auburn, Alabama until her first child was born then became a full-time stay at home mom. She lived in Enterprise for 6 years prior to moving to Dothan in 1974 and has lived here the past 42 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who was dedicated to her husband, her three children, and her five grandchildren. She selflessly dedicated her life to her family. Brenda was part of a group of very close friends called “The Posse” who travelled together and spent time together often. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Dothan especially the church training programs, Vacation Bible School, and GA’s. She was an avid health and fitness enthusiast.

Mrs. Faulk was preceded in death by her father, Ewell Edgar Berry and her mother, Minnie Lou Grimsley Berry.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years Lamar Faulk; her son, Scott (Daphne) Faulk; her daughters, Natalie (Jeff) Hutto and Lynn Faulk; her grandchildren, John Hutto, Lauren Hutto, Jake Hutto, Lawson Faulk, and Claire Faulk; her brother, Bubba Berry; her sister, Mary Helen (Jimmy) Cornelison; her nieces and nephews, Alex Berry, Suzanne Berry, Christie Jones, and Wes Cornelison.
