A dump truck traveling along Elm Street Road wrecked on Monday, leaving the driver seriously injured. According to State Trooper Kevin Cook, the man’s injuries were not life-threatening. The wreck occurred around 11 a.m. just east of the intersection of Elm Street Road and County Road 5511. The dump truck was the only vehicle involved in the wreck, overturning and blocking the majority of the road. The wreck also resulted in a gas spill of at least 25 gallons. Alabama State Troopers are investigating to determine the cause of the wreck.
