Troy police responded to a shooting on Sunday at approximately 8:20 p.m. in the 300 block of Aster Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 26-year-old black male who had been shot once in the leg.

The victim was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center by Haynes Ambulance Service with non-life threatening injuries.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” said Troy Police Chief Randall Barr. “Were still working this incident and trying to run down some leads.”
