Barbara Sue Gulledge Baker

Barbara Sue Gulledge Baker, age 81, of Blue Springs, Alabama, peacefully entered into the Gates of Heaven September 22, 2016, at her home. She was a loving wife to Her husband Rev. Samuel Spurgeon Baker for 65 years. She was a loving and caring Mother to all her children, grandchildren, and family and friends. She worked tirelessly and was a perfect example of a Proverbs 31 woman. She served as a Pastor’s wife for almost 50 years and was an example to all. She worked many years in the surrounding area in textile industries. She was preceded in death by her parents Huey Lee and Donie Ruth Gulledge. Parents-in-law Henry Lamar and Lilly Gladys Baker. Son-in-law Jerry Wilkinson. Brothers-in-law Earl, Dean, and Bobby Baker, Louie Hurst and Andy Faircloth. A special Sister Janice Gulledge. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Springhill Baptist Church. Rev. Bob Cox will officiate and an eulogy will be given by John Harden. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday at Keahey Funeral Home in Clio and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will folllow in Anderson Baptist Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing.
