The Brundidge Police Department has made arrests related to a robbery that took place on Lawson Street in Brundidge in November 2016 during which shots were fired.

Brundidge Police Chief Moses Davenport said two arrests were made on January 26. However, the investigation is ongoing because another subject has been questioned about the robbery but no charges have been made at this time.

Davenport said Trey Wilson, 18, County Road 4421, and Devantavise Mency, 23, Barr Circle were arrested on Thursday, January 26. Gregory Dees, 20, was arrested in connection with the robbery on November 9, 2016.

All three suspects are being held in the Pike County Jail on three counts of robbery first degree, Davenport said. Bond is set at $100,000 on each count.

“The robbery was on a produce truck that was making its regular route in Brundidge,” Davenport said. “A female worker was robbed at gunpoint. The owner of the produce truck attempted to subdue one of the men but they all got away. As one of the men was running, a shot was fired.

“This has been a very active investigation. Three of the suspects are in jail and the investigation continues.”

On Sunday, January 22, the Brundidge Police Department arrested Hykeem Turner, 19, Darby Street, and charged him with unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle on Gilmore Road.

Turner was also charged with the burglary of a residence on College Street, Davenport said.

Turner is being held in the Pike County Jail on charges of home invasion and auto invasion, Davenport said.  His bond is set at $3,500 for each count.

On January 30, Roger Stark, 24, was arrested and charged with 3rd degree domestic violence and receiving stolen property first degree.

“A vehicle was stolen from a parking lot in Enterprise and was recovered on Pike County Road 3320,” Davenport said.

“The vehicle was abandoned. The Brundidge PD is working with the Enterprise Police Department on this case.

“Cameras in the parking lot where the vehicle was stolen could provide us with information to identify the person or persons that stole the vehicle.”
