The Troy-based ENUFF SAID Bikers Club participated in a charity ride to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Pike and Surrounding Counties Saturday morning.

The 30-minute loop ride from the Boys and Girls Club to Banks, Brundidge and back to Troy raised money to be used for programs at the local Boys and Girls Club, said Roman Carlisle, a bike club member.

“We are an all-male bikers club that is dedicated to giving back to the community,” Carlisle said. “We’ve been together for about four years and this is the second charity event that we’ve had to benefit the Boys and Girls Club.”

Members of ENUFF SAID Bikers Club and supporting bikers began registering around 9:30 a.m. and spent time talking with the kids who gathered to admire their bikes and answering questions about everything from cost to speed.

“Our club members have different bikes and the bigger the bike the more the questions,” he said.

Following the charity ride, the bikers and boys and girls enjoyed a burger lunch together.

“We like talking with the kids,” Carlisle said. “That’s the best part of a ride like this. Giving back to kids is the most important thing we can do.”

Jamie Thomas, club president, said giving back is the main objective of the ENUFF SAID Bikers Club.

“Whatever we can do to support the community is what we want to do, Thomas said. “Helping the elderly is a main objective. We visit local nursing homes during the holidays and donate supplies that patients often need.

“We also especially like do give support to youth clubs and organizations like the Boys and Girls Club. The money that is raised with our charity ride will help fund some of the needs of the club here in Troy.”

Thomas and Carlisle said helping the youth of today is ensuring a brighter future for them and for the community.  “Our bikers club members hope to serve as role models for these young people,” Carlisle said.
