The Troy Police Department arrested a Troy woman Wednesday on three counts of first-degree theft of property.

Troy Police Chief Randall Barr said three separate individuals signed warrants alleging that Jickinya Majors, 41, had stolen over $2,500 worth of property from them.

“There were three different victims and the cumulative amount of property from each one of those would have been greater than $2,500,” Barr said.

Majors turned herself into the police department around noon Wednesday.

Barr said the allegedly stolen items range from money, clothing and jewelry to tools and vehicle accessories.

During the investigation, police traced some of the stolen jewelry to a local pawn shop, where they gained the identity of a second suspect– Ryan Ewing, 31, of Decatur.

Ewing was arrested by Decatur Police and extradited back to Troy for second-degree receiving of stolen property.

Majors and Ewing were both booked into the Pike County Jail. Ewing was released on a $2,500 bond and Majors remains in jail on a $5,000 bond for each charge.

First-degree theft of property is a Class B felony punishable by two to twenty years in prison.

Receiving stolen property in the second degree is a Class C felony punishable by one to ten years in prison.
