The 2017 Special Olympics Alabama State Games came to a close Saturday night with the closing ceremonies followed by a “Victory Dance” performance by Elvis tribute artist Scot Bruce.
The delegation from Montgomery County was declared the overall winner of the competition, receiving a $100 prize.
As always, athletes that have passed since the last games were honored with the lighting of memorial candles.
“Elvis” then took the stage to lead the athletes in the post-games celebration with the athletes dancing through the night to the classic songs of the King.
