James Lamar Boutwell

James Lamar Boutwell, 95, of Panama City, FL passed away on Friday June 9, 2017. He was born on January 24, 1922 in Troy, AL to James and Blanche Boutwell. He worked as a Teacher at Jenks Jr. High. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sarah Evelyn Boutwell; one son, Ricky Boutwell; one brother, Jerry Boutwell. He is survived by one son, James Michael Boutwell (Jeaneen); three grandchildren, Joelle Boutwell Jeter (Chuck), James Matthew Boutwell (Alicia), Jeffrey Boutwell; six great grandchildren, Kyle Miles, Josh Miles, Kayleigh Miles, Dylan Cunningham, James Mitchell Boutwell, Kallie Boutwell; two great-great grandchildren, Derek Miles, and Owen Miles; one brother, Ray Boutwell from Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Louise Reeves from Troy, AL, Ruby Andress from Troy, AL; two sisters-in-law, Sue Ann Boutwell from Geshen, AL, Margaret Flowers from Troy, AL; two brothers-in-law, Donald Miley from Troy and Reuben Miley of Milton, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at 2 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to your favorite Veterans Charity in memory of James Boutwell. The family would like to give a special thank you to Covenant Hospice.
