The Reunion Troy committee is celebrating Alabama’s bicentennial by putting up signs detailing the city’s rich history. Many of the signs can be found around the Square, including a sign detailing the story of “Gertrude’s Gazebo,” the “old courthouse” and the city’s former ordinance against spitting. Pictured with the Gazebo sign are, from left, Shannon Crawford with the Pike County Chamber of Commerce and Leigh Ann Windham and Mackenzie Kayler of the City of Troy.
