Trojans knock off Brew Tech

The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans knocked off area rival Brew Tech in comfortable fashion 63-32 on Tuesday evening in Montgomery.
The top-rated Trojans used a 27-point third quarter to pick up the comfortable win.
The Trojans had three players finish in double figures led by Maori Davenport’s 26 points. Tatyana Siler finished with 14, while Niaira Jones picked up 13. Whittaka Lowery contributed with five points, while Nola Baker had three and Mykyia Milton had two.
The Trojans held Brew Tech in single digits in both the first and second quarters and took a 34-11 lead into the half time break. The Trojans outscored their opponents 29-21 in the second half in spite of scoring just two points in the final quarter.
The Trojans will be back in action on Friday when they host Greenville.
Bullock County 44, Goshen Lady Eagles 55
The Goshen Lady Eagles outscored Bullock County in every quarter and walked away with a 55-44 win on Tuesday night in Goshen.
Bree Griffin led the way for the Eagles in scoring with 33 points, while Jada Hall finished with 13 and Harmony Robinson had six.
The Eagles will be back in action on Thursday night when they host Andalusia.
Pike County boys 56, Providence 2 9
The Pike County boy’s basketball team improved to 2-0 in area play with a dominating 56-29 win over Providence on Thursday night.
The Bulldogs had three players score in double figures led by Jaidyn Wilson who finished with 13 points, while Jahzarian Lampley scored 11 and Andres Burney scored 10.
