Board members are Chris Wilkes, Dr. Clint Foster, Justin Davis, Linda Steed, Dr. Greg Price and Earnest Green.
Dr. Mark Bazzell, superintendent of Pike County Schools, expressed appreciation to his board, which he said, is the best board of education in the state.
“Our board members provide responsible leadership and make the choices that need to be made to provide the best education possible for our students,” Bazzell said. “Our board is always informed and understands the issues that impact education. They trust in our leadership team and everything they do, every decision they make, is in the best interest of our students.”
Bazzell informed the board that Pike County High School has been selected a CLASS School of Distinction, which is recognition and validation of the equality of education provided at the high school in Brundidge.
Bazzell said no plans had been made to modify the school’s schedule regarding the weather conditions predicted between 6 a.m. (today) and 6 a.m. Wednesday.
