Those who like the benefits of double-dipping will not want to miss tonight’s performance at the Claudia Crosby Theater on the campus of Troy University.
The university’s own vocal jazz group, frequency, will open for the all male a cappella sensation, Semi-Toned from the United Kingdom.
Showtime is 7 p.m. and general admission is $20 and student admission with an ID is five dollars.
John Jinright, presenter chair for the sponsoring Troy Arts Council, said Semi-Toned has completed numerous tours in the United States, along the East and West coasts.
“The 12-man group also has a sizable social media following due to the success of its award-winning music video,” he said.
Semi-Toned is a modern collegiate a cappella style group that is entertaining for all ages.
Joel Williams, TAC president, said Semi-Toned is a group of high-energy young British men with lot of personality.
“What they sing is traditional but with a popular presentation,” he said. They are entertaining in a fun way. Those who attended the Semi-Toned concert will be glad they went and they will tell those who missed the concert, ‘You should have been there!”
“Semi-Toned is different from anything else the Troy Arts Council has done this year. It’s a concert that you will not want miss.”
